The Shipwreck box contains 8 ounces of reclaimed silver from the SS Tilawa shipwreck, an 8 reales coin from the El Cazador shipwreck, and a 10 cash coin from the Admiral Gardener shipwreck. Including our antique box, the value of the treasure is approximately $1,200.

Future boxes will include silver, gold, precious stones, trading cards, coins, relics, and other antique collectables. North Texas Treasure plans to hide up to 4 boxes per year. All profit will be used towards increasing the value of our future boxes.

Many of the well known treasure hunts have taken many years to complete, leaving the participants burned out and frustrated with the intentional vagueness, behind the solve, to prolong the hunt. Often times the searchers do not receive a clear explanation of the solve after the box is found, which can be very disheartening for an individual who dedicated countless hours to the hunt.

North Texas Treasure maximizes participant engagement by hiding multiple boxes per year that are easier to solve, rather than hosting a decade long hunt that feels nearly impossible solve. We believe that frequent hunts give the most amount of people a chance at experience the overwhelming joy of finding treasure!

Receiving the clue book orders up front allows us to ship out the books at the same time to everyone. This gives the majority of the searchers an even starting point. No unfair head-starts! Once all of the preorders are processed and mailed out on April 1st 2026, we will switch the "preorders" button to "buy now", allowing late-comers to purchase the 12-page clue book.

The clue book is only 12 pages long. It is a combination of text, poems, basic ciphers, and puzzles. You may need to use popular movies, music, and history to help solve. Don't worry! You do not need to be a genius to solve any of these clues. A quick google search of anything that stands out to you should point you in the right direction.

Other well known treasure hunts have written clues so difficult and vague that, often times, the participant never leaves their armchair. This defeats the purpose of a treasure hunt! North Texas Treasure writes clues that are solvable for the average person and gets the searcher out of the house to make unforgettable memories!

No! The box is not buried. Please do NOT bring a shovel on this hunt, you will not need to dig. Bringing a shovel will attract negative attention and is forbidden in certain places.

The box is not hidden in any dangerous location. If you find yourself on the edge of a cliff, wading through water, or lost, then you are simply in the wrong place.

Keep in mind, we needed to hide this box far enough off the trail to prevent any non treasure hunters from stumbling upon it. Your biggest dangers will be twisted ankles, ticks, snakes, thorns, brush, and poison ivy. Participate at your own risk.

The Shipwreck Box can be hidden anywhere within the green colored area. Don't let the distance intimidate you. The memories you will make with your friends and family tracking down the treasure will far outweigh the contents of the box.

The box will be hidden on public land only. Do not search for this box on any private land. Public land includes city parks, state parks, national parks, national forests, wildlife management areas, nature preserves, ect.

Our hunts are not designed to last longer than a few short months or possibly even weeks! If you have a good idea of where the box is hidden, I highly encourage you to grab a friend and search immediately. There are some very clever treasure hunters that will act quickly and we would hate to see you just miss it!

The average person can solve this location in a short amount of time, but which of you are willing to jump in the car and make a memory?

North Texas Treasure will reassess our solve time estimations once the first box is found. Judging by the amount of time it takes to find the box, and customer feedback, we will get a better gauge on whether or not to adjust the level of difficulty for future boxes.

Of course! The great thing about our clues is that you can get very close to the location of the box without leaving your armchair. Solve the clues and pass along your search location to a trusted friend or family member to pick the treasure up for you.

No, you do not need to solve every clue to find the treasure box. In fact, it is possible to find the box by only solving a small handful of the clues. The more clues you solve, the easier it will be to shrink your search area and pinpoint a more exact location.

North Texas Treasure will submit all of the preorders to the printing company on April 30th 2026. The orders will all be processed and shipped out at the same time, approximately 1 week later.

All of the treasure is in the box. If you find the box, you will leave with all of the silver/coins.
